    Hi all,

I have have recently installed a plugin called “Capabilities” that can create more roles so as i can create a special role that only handles WooCommerece orders. I have used the following link to accomplish this task.

    https://publishpress.com/knowledge-base/woocommerce-users-only-edit-orders/

after assigning users to the new role, they complain that they can no more purchase the shipping labels!! The error that pops up says, “Sorry, you are not allowed to do that!”.

When i switch those users back to the “shop manager” role, now they can buy the labels but then they have more permissions than what i want them to see!

    Any help is appreciated.

    Mouhab

    Hi @myacoub,

I see that you already reached out to the plugin authors on their support forum. They should be able to give you some insights as to why this is happening since they are better positioned to provide further assistance with this issue.

    Cheers.

    Hi Mirko P. (@rainfallnixfig),

Can you shed some light on this please. I think it is a matter of permission issue. What would be the permission that allows a user to use/purchase a shipping label from the perspective of WooCommerence?

    Hi, Mouhab @myacoub!

The permissions required would depend on the plugin you’re using for printing shipping labels. And judging by what happened in your case, it appears that the plugin you’re using only allows shop managers to print shipping labels.

    Hi Cara – a11n (@dcka) and Mirko P. (@rainfallnixfig)

I contacted the developers of the other plugin and here is what i have got from them.

This will require you look into the plugin you’re using for shipping labels.
It may not allow users in some roles to access it. Or it may offer capabilities
that you can add to your new role. Check the documentation, or contact that plugin’s developer.

Seems the control is from the side of the “Shipping Printing label” plugin side.

    Hey there again!

Since we don’t make either plugin (the label printing one, or the role restriction one), we wouldn’t be the best folks to offer advice on these.

I’d recommend contacting the developer of that plugin for more info.

    Have a great one!
