    Hi Ankur,

This was released yesterday w/ 1.6.7.

The new code doesn’t mean you can modify your tabs in an import file. It tries to make sure that you don’t lose tabs when exporting from one site and importing to a different site.

If you have any questions please ask.

    Cheers,
    Kevin.

    Hi Kevin.

1.) I got data where i have various PDF as ex. given bellow.

    https://hkftp.zotac.com/External/VGA/RTX20series/RTX2080Ti/brochure/ZT-T20810A-10P-brochure.pdf

    https://hkftp.zotac.com/External/VGA/GTX10series/GTX1070/ZT-P10700B-10P/brochure/ZT-P10700B-10P-GTX1070AMPEXTREME.pdf

i am creating TAB call broucher.

in that i am attaching this web address through CSV. But i dont wanna do manually as i have more then 1000 Products. So is new version will allow me to concatenate my ( PDF ) Address path to each and every product?

or i have to mention the “content” character size as my pdf address path?

    bellow is just an example.

    a:1:{i:0;a:3:{s:5:”title”;s:8:”Overview”;s:2:”id”;s:8:”overview”;s:7:”content”;s:2:”Hi”;}}

    Hi, Kevin

And there is something is fishy. While i am importing the csv some other data also getting change and if i have say 30 products and i changed value in only 2 products while importing its showing 30 products updated. This should not happen correct?

So i guess something wrong with your plugin please do check what is the issue.

    Hi Ankur,

You’re trying to edit your tabs in the import file which isn’t supported (and won’t be supported).

Does each product need the same PDF tab? Are there different PDFs for different products?

    Let me know.

    Thank you,
    Kevin.

I believe WooCommerce will set the updated date to whenever the import occurred regardless of whether the product’s values were changed in the update. Or it might be that WooCommerce is automatically updating some fields that you don’t see.

    Hi Kevin,

1.) So i cant make any changes ( Edit ) in the import file. ( What i understood from your reply ). But try to incorporate this if possible because its needed for me badly.

2.) Yes each and every TAB has different PDF (Value) i can say.

    Reply to your above msg.

What i observed is if i manually do some changes in your value which i extracted from one of the product after exporting. This problem is coming.

This will not be coming. There is no simple way to do this.

If you need to make updates to your imported tabs, you should use WP All Import, the WP All Import WooCommerce add-on, and the WP All Import Custom Product Tabs add-on.

All of these plugins are free and simple to use.

What you need is your current products CSV file with a column that has the PDF link in it.

For your scenario, this is what you’ll want to do:
    – Create a new saved tab called Brochure
    – Edit this saved tab during the import and drag your PDF link value into the tab

This way you will have a tab called Brochure with the PDF link specific to that product.

    Hi Kevin,

I cracked the CSV data change ( Edit ). And i tried its working now. my only concern now is its updating some other value also in CSV i dont know what but my short description is not coming proper. and i am updating ( making changes ) of your value tab in only one product but while importing its updating entire 30 products. So what should be the solution?

I don’t think these other edits or short description changes have anything to do with our plugin. It’s more likely that they’re getting messed up when being exported/imported.

    Hi Kevin

That might be the case but if i removed the (Meta: yikes_woo_products_tabs) from csv and then import then everything is perfect. I dont know what is the issue i thought and its giving me the trouble so that why i shared with u.

    Regards

    Ankur
