Apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this, I have latest versions of WP and Woocommerce and Wootique as the child theme installed.

Since I installed Wootique the product search within the header has stopped working, I get the dreaded “The requested URL /****** was not found on this server.”

I installed the search widget in the footer to test and its working perfectly from there.. The header search was also working prior to installing Wootique… I installed several plugins but none of which worked except 1. I don’t want to have to pay a monthly premium for the privilege which is why I’m posting here.

All I need is a simple search to return products.

I searched everywhere for answers to no avail can anyone help ..please ??

i changed the theme from wootique to storefront, and search is working

problem is i really liked wootique :-S

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

There is a setting in wootique to choose search scope – ensure it’s set to ‘products’

    Thread Starter irishpol

    (@irishpol)

it was set to ‘products’, i changed to ‘post’ and then back again.. no joy

The action of the form is your home_url() (for my ref https://github.com/woothemes/wootique/blob/968ef6377f99ac5451e7c2023b8c721656b1ff56/includes/theme-woocommerce.php#L46).

Is your site and home URL different?

    Thread Starter irishpol

    (@irishpol)

the site is currently https://123.456.789/myebsite.com/ obv it will ultimately be https://mywebsite.com ..is that what you mean?

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

Yes, the form action is home_url() – so this may just be wrong on your test site.

thanks for your help, mike. how do i check that?

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

I think it may be wrong until you put it on the final domain.

    (@irishpol)

ok.. let it sit until get it live .. will update in due course, thanks again Mike

website is now live https://www.phsecurity.net as you predicted Mike search is working.. im trying to figure out how to drop the catalogue from the ‘products’ page apart from that and the fact the site isn’t responsive everything is great ??
