    Jan,
    there should be a way to share private information like a log and password to someone without having to put it on the internet for everyone to see. Thats a little ridiculous don’t you think?

    Not at all. The purpose of stopping that is to try and make sure that the users posting in these forums are safe. Exchanging login information or contacting people away from these forums has been demonstrated to have risks.

    Whole companies have earned a lifetime ban in these forums for abusing users from these forums. It’s not being a nanny or ridiculous; no one is forced to be here and you can seek support elsewhere.

    But if people do use these forums then they need to follow what’s in the Forum Welcome.
