We use WooCommerce and Members. Customers can create an account during checkout. If so, they should get the user role “customer” which is set up as default role. Instead, they get “none” as user role. How can we solve this? It’s pretty difficult problem because the payment options are defined per user role, so if someone doesn’t have a user role, they can’t pay ??

    Hi Rosanne,

Members doesn’t assign any role when users register or buy products through WooCommerce checkout. There might be some plugin conflict that causes this issue. Please deactivate all your plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate all plugins one by one to see which one causes that issue. You can also switch the current theme to the default WordPress theme temporarily and see if this helps.

    Hopefully, that helps.

Thanks for clarifying! I assumed that, because we set up a default user role in Members, all new users (even the WooCommerce ones) would receive this role. After reading your answer we continued the bug fixing and fount out that the issue is caused by the Gravity Forms User Registration add-on. We will contact Gravity Forms to solve the issue. Thanks!
