I’m using cPanel and I uploded those files from there if that matters..

We updated the manual instructions here the other day:

    https://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-localization/

This is for WooCommerce core translation.

    Hello,
Mike THANK YOU for the respond BUT IT DOES NOT WORK!!!
I’ve tried that but it does not work I can make screenshots showing you how I’ve done it but that ” This file needs to be renamed to woocommerce-YOURLANG.mo uploaded to wp-content/languages/woocommerce/. Once uploaded, this translation file will be used.” DOES NOT WORK!!!
Still I can make mistake and not do it right but I’ve tried every possible way and I don’t think I can get it wrong..
Do you have any other solution.. for example how to use those files in Loco Translate so I don’t waste time typing all the translation again???
And 1 more question do I need to rename pages like “Cart” “Shop” “Check-in” by myself?

    Thank you in advance!

It does work ?? Can you tell me what filename you’re using, and where exactly it is placed – screenshot your file structure so I can see it clearly.

If you also upload your .mo translation file I can test it.

Hey first thank you for the fast respond this is link to show you where I upload it… it is exactly the same as the guide says I’ve made the woocommerce folder tho –> https://i.imgur.com/tPzuXij.png I’ve also tried rename it to woocommerce-BG_bg.mo and woocommerce-bg.mo

And about the .mo file I downloaded it from here

    Thank you!

    (@mikejolley)

    woocommerce-bg.mo is the correct name.

Once renamed ensure the file and directory have 755 permissions so its readable.

    (@kalinyorgov)

OK I did rename it and change permissions to the file and folder to 755
screenshot but still there is no change at all ;( anything else I can try to do should I reinstall everything because I’m not putting anything until at least the part visible for visitor is translated

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

That should be enough. I assume you set the lang in Settings > General too? Are other plugins translating?

    Thread Starter kalinyorgov

    (@kalinyorgov)

Yes Settings > General are on bulgarian the whole wordpress is installed directly on bulgarian language (screenshot) the storefront theme is also on bulgarian language and woocommerce is also on bulgarian language or at least that’s what it says…(screenshot)
My other plugins are hello dolly which is on bulgarian and Akismet for which I’m not sure..

    check it out

I am ok with giving you admin permissions on site and cPanel to check it out yourself but everything is on bulgarian…

    (@mikejolley)

Just send me the mo file and Ill test on my install. I want your version in case its corrupt.

    (@mikejolley)

    Try naming it woocommerce-bg_BG.mo

    Plugin Contributor Mike Jolley (a11n)

    (@mikejolley)

When I name it woocommerce-en_US.mo it works… SO it has to be the code.

    Thank you it finally worked.
