WooCommerce & Time.ly All-in-One-Event-Calendar
-
I have these two (WooCommerce & Time.ly All-in-One-Event-Calendar) playing pretty well together on two sites running WP3.8. I’m hitting a wall now and I’m hoping someone can help me sort this out. The two sites are https://www.movementfromwithin.net/calendar and https://www.solsara.hoffmangraphics.com/calendar (still in dev).
The problem is: The cart and calendar functions are competing for who’s in charge on the page. This is particularly troubling when I have variable products.
When I add a full product description to an event listing using this shortcode[product_page id=”5142″] we lose all the event listing summary (map, price, location, etc that other events have) and ONLY see the full product page.
The alternative is to have to paste in the description from the product to the calendar which is duplicated work then add the Add to Cart button. Not too terrible. It works OK if it’s a simple cart button. BUT when we use the variable cart button that lists all the date/location options, then we get a button that we click and it takes us to the description page and add to cart drop down. This is VERY cumbersome and undesirable.
I need to see if there’s any way to get that drop down button onto the event description page.
To help you see what I’m talking about here are two examples:
This one has the calendar summary at top and manually added text to the EVENT then a simple cart button: https://www.solsara.hoffmangraphics.com/ai1ec_event/graduate-practice-session-portland-2/?instance_id=This is an Immersion PRODUCT description with a drop down added to an EVENT. The problem here is that we no longer see the event summary info with map at the top. AND we get two titles, one for the event and one for the product which MIGHT be fixable: https://www.solsara.hoffmangraphics.com/ai1ec_event/solsara-immersion/?instance_id=668
Thanks for any help.
