@katsushi-kawamori I can confirm the issue, sort of…

I’ve noticed that for large images (>5 mb), the WebP replacement of images and contents doesn’t work.
It keeps both the WebP and the original JPG image.
(happens because the internal WordPress image scaling system that conflicts somehow with your plugin).

Also, because of this conflict, sometimes the WooCommerce thumbs aren’t loaded.

Thanks!

Coming back to this, indeed the product images don’t load, no matter what.

So the plugin is indeed incompatible with WooCommerce.
The issue is that it doesn’t also update the WebP link in Woo, and keeps the JPG/PNG that was deleted and replaced by the WebP image.

So there are 2 issues here:
– The WooCommerce compatibility.
– The issue with large image resizing conflicting with the WebP image replacement.

Hello, firstly, the developer of this plugin has long been gone, and apparently will not be. And secondly, I found it possible to support the web with the removal of JPGs and the generation of all thumbnails with small volumes of goods. Set Image Regenerate & Select Crop , further into there turn on show refresh buttons in gallery when image is uploaded and converted to webp, click refresh thumbnail, missing thumbnails appear. That's all the whole site is on the web, but you have to do it all the time with your hands.

@silasveta2012 Thanks for the reply.

Actually, @katsushi-kawamori isn’t gone as he had some activity 2 weeks ago, pushing some updates to some of his other plugins.
I just hope he will show some love to this one also.

If he fixes the WooCommerce compatibility and the conflict with the image resizing, then this plugin will be the best.

Fingers crossed! ??

I agree, for me the double volume of files is definitely not needed, I really like the fact that you can delete the original
