    Hi,

Just installed the Woocommerce and DFX Automatic Role Changer for WooCommerce plugin and tested them with a PayPal sandbox account (test payment), but the role that I selected for a product was not assigned to the user/buyer. Can your plugin work with PayPal Sandbox payments?

Even if it can be a nice feature to be able to test the DFX Automatic Role Changer plugin while the Woocommerce plugin is tested with Sandbox accounts (PayPal, Stripe), the DFX Automatic Role Changer for Woocommerce plugin does very well what it says when purchases are made with real credit cards. Today I tested the Woocommerce and DFX Automatic Role Changer when a product was purchased with a real credit card and the selected role was assigned to the buyer account. Nice! Good work!

    Hi, Iurie Malai

Just a question about Sandbox accounts. In your purchases using them, are the corresponding orders moved to Processing or Completed status after the simulated payment?

I’m just used the standard WooCommerce hook that gets triggered when an order is paid. If this hook is not executed, my plugin won’t be able to do anything.

    Hi, David!

When I made some purchases with a PayPal Sandbox account, they were moved to Processing status. I had to manually move them to the Completed status. And I don’t remember now when I checked if the role was assigned to the buyer’s account, before or after that.

But I don’t think that the issue with Sandbox accounts is a big problem, so you can mark this topic as resolved, now I understand how your plugin works.

    UPDATE

I checked now, after the manual change of purchase status to Completed the role was not assigned.

    Thank you!

    Iurie
