Hi @jaytee6x2
Thanks for sharing requested information.
Now, after re-activating the plugins, my variation buttons have disappeared and I have to use a dropdown menu instead (which is totally unusable due to the CSS Styling being completely wrong). This is a mess. Any ideas???
This is the default behaviour. By default, WooCommerce doesn’t show any swatches. However, I can see that you’ve used XT Variation Swatches for WooCommerce by XplodedThemes, so the issue seems to be coming from this plugin.
This is a third-party plugin, and we don’t provide help & support for 3rd-party plugins or themes as they’re outside our support scope. It would be best to reach out to the plugin developer for further assistance.
I had to reinstall a backup of the website. The variation buttons are now visible and working, but the “Enable tax rates and calculations” will-not-stay-unchecked!
This problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin, such as SiteGround’s Speed Optimizer and Security Optimizer. The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
If the problem continues, it might be related to a server-side caching issue or a problem with your WordPress installation. In this case, I recommend contacting your hosting provider to see if they can help.
I hope that helps! Let me know once you have done a conflict test!
