We have created one composite product with 2 steps, Step 1 the user selects a machine, and step 2 the user selects a fragrance. We are offering a subscription where the user gets a fragrance every month. To achieve this, we are using WooCommerce Subscriptions along with All Subscriptions for Woocommerce to create subscription plans.

After purchasing this composite product with one subscription plan, we want to allow the user to change the fragrance they are receiving. In theory, with product switching, they should be able to select a new fragrance. Unfortunately completing this process creates a NEW subscription rather than updating the old one.

We tested the same with a normal Woocommerce variable product, after buying this product, it didn’t create a new subscription order there (when switching variations), in fact, updated the previous subscription order. This is how it should be.

Changing fragrance with the composite product is creating a new subscription order instead of updating the first created subscription order.

how can we solve this problem? There should be 1 subscription and that subscription should have updated components when the user makes a change.
