Woocommerce, subcategories on side panel are shown by default

  • Hello, I’m a beginner so I don’t know if this is wordpress, woocomerce or theme related, but the fact is subcategories on the side panel are shown by default, I would like to avoid this behavior, what I would want to do is to show subcategories only when user clicks on parent category.
    How can I achieve this?

    It’s not exactly what I wanted but some kind of fix I found…

    – Appearance
    – Customize
    – Widgets
    – Primary
    – Woocommerce Product Categories
    – Check “Only show children of the current category”

    And then:

    – Woocommerce
    – Settings
    – Products
    – Display

    Show page display -> Show both
    Default Category Display -> Show subcategories
