Hi @mrvn80r
I am using the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway and i’d like to add Alipay as a payment option. I have setup everything succesfully, the use of Alipay is enabled and approved in my Stripe account. The Alipay payment option is simply not showing on the checkout page. I’m currently using WordPress Theme Twenty Twenty-Three. When I switch to Twenty Twenty-Two, it still doesn’t work. When I switch to Twenty Twenty-One, Alipay shows as a payment option. Is there a way to get this working in Twenty Twenty-Three?
From what I understand, you’re encountering an issue with the WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway, specifically with displaying Alipay as a payment option on the checkout page. You’ve mentioned that you have successfully set up Alipay and it is enabled and approved in your Stripe account, yet it is not appearing on the checkout page when using the WordPress Theme Twenty Twenty-Three. However, it appears when you switch to the Twenty Twenty-One theme.
Let’s try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:
- Update All Plugins and Themes: Ensure that all your plugins and themes are up-to-date. This includes your WooCommerce plugin, Stripe Payment Gateway plugin, and your WordPress Twenty Twenty-Three theme. Outdated plugins or themes can often lead to compatibility issues.
- Check for Plugin Conflicts: There might be a conflict with other plugins that you are using. You can check this by deactivating all other plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe Gateway. If the Alipay option appears, then the issue is likely due to a conflict with one of the other plugins. You can then reactivate each plugin one by one to identify which one is causing the issue.
- Look for JavaScript errors: JavaScript errors can disrupt functionality. Use your browser’s console to check for these errors.?? Here’s a useful guide on Using Your Browser to Diagnose JavaScript Errors.
- Enable Debugging: If the problem persists, turn on debugging in WordPress. This can help identify the root cause. You can enable debugging by adding these lines to your wp-config.php file:
This will create a debug.log file in your wp-content directory, logging any PHP errors or notices. For a more detailed guide on enabling debugging in WordPress, you can visit this link: ?? Debugging in WordPress
If the issue continues after trying these steps, please share more details, like the exact error messages you see when debug mode is on. This will help us identify and solve the problem more effectively.
Also, we’d find it helpful if you could share your site’s System Status report. This will give us a better understanding of your site’s setup and help us pinpoint the problem. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status
. Select Get system report
and then Copy for support
.
Lastly, could you share the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs
.
Once you’ve gathered this information, please paste it inside a Code block in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com to paste it and share the link with us.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation in this matter! We’re here to help you get this sorted.
