    Hi!!!

I’ve been seeing this screenshot (https://ibb.co/zh6Jrd1) WP Dashboard notification for months now while site is still in development. We transitioned from SUMO memberships, and moved over to WCFM which handles subscriptions and stripe for us (I believe). Anyway regardless during this entire time I get this message, click for the updates and there isn’t any there. WooCommerce has been kept fully up to date all along. I even tried reinstalling just the WooCommerce folder, not DB entries. The Stripe gateway plugin is already removed, what could be causing this????

    Hi there @mh4press,

Thanks for sharing a detailed report on the issue you are facing.

Looking at the shared screenshot, it appears your WooCommerce installation is trying to notify you about an update for your Stripe gateway, however, you mentioned that you’ve already updated WooCommerce and removed the Stripe gateway plugin.

This issue could be due to a few reasons, like some residual data from the Stripe plugin in your database that’s causing the notification to persist.

However, I’d like to understand the issue further. Could you please let us know what happens when you click on the dismiss button? Does the issue persist?

Also, what happens when you try logging into your store from a different browser? Does the notification persist as well?

    Hi!

I have everything updated, but now I have a 2nd notice about WooCommerce, while there is no update. This time I even got an email. For some reason there are two buttons on each of the 2 notices, and one of them is missing the ? value parameter.

    I will try to dismiss.

Another thing worth mentioning is that our premium theme has some messages about outdated WooCommerce template files, which I reached out to them but have not heard back because our support expired after 6 months.

    Hey, @mh4press!

I have everything updated, but now I have a 2nd notice about WooCommerce, while there is no update.?

Can you please confirm if your WooCommerce is on version 8.9.3?

Please let us know if dismissing it solves the issue.

Is your theme updated? Usually updating the theme solves this issue.

If you have experience with this, you can also update it manually. We have a guide on it here.

But this is a Developer level documentation, If you are unfamiliar with code/templates and resolving potential conflicts, we don’t recommend doing it by yourself as it can cause bigger issues on the website. If this is the case, please reach out to the theme support or a developer.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack. We’re lucky to have a great community of open-source developers for WooCommerce, and many of our developers hang out there too.

    Have a wonderful day!
