    Hello Guys!

    Woocommerce stopped sending email notifications.

All the email templates are turned on, double checked it.
To test plugin conflict I have turned off all the plugins except woocommerce, but the mail still did not go out.

What is really interesting is that by filling in the elementor form on the site you will receive an email, so should not be a server issue.

SMTP is set. Tested with bot SMTP and without it. No woocommerce email generated from the start of the issue.

I have tried setting the woocommerce template to plain, but no results with or without SMTP.

I have installed mail logger. An e-mail is generated when elementor form gets submitted, but no email gets generated with woocommerce orders. So the problem should be with plugins, but how if I tested this when only woocommerce was the active plugin and transactional mails did not get generated.

So to summary the situation, woocoomerce oder notifcations worked worked for 2 weeks with no problem but from today it does not.

  • Hi @daynese1!

If I understand correctly, email notifications to customers were sent in the last weeks but then suddenly stopped working. Have you already seen our Email troubleshooting guide and FAQ? It can be found here: https://woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/.

If the above guide doesn’t help, it could be something related to your email account or something hosting/network-related.

    – Can you try with a different email address? Please try an email account from another provider.
    – Contact your host to see if anything has changed in the last few weeks on the hosting side.

You could ask your hosting provider if they are aware of any config changes or network issues impacting email.

Let us know how it goes for you!

Hello, thank you for you response.

It is nothing easy I can tell. We involved the hosting services, they made a thorough test. What they told us is that the emails themselves are not being generated. (So it doesn’t even get as far as unsuccessful delivery in the logs.)

We have disabled the most recently updated /installed plugins, and then cleared the populated cache, and then tried again, but still nothing.

We have installed the plugin called, WP Mail Logging and every mail generated by Elementor, WordPress pops up here, but Woocommerce mails. They are not getting generated.

At least can you tell me how can we log or detect the issue itself?

    Hey @daynese1,

Your following step would be logging errors to see if you’re able to locate the culprit. Follow the steps here for debugging in WordPress:

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/wiki/Using-WP_DEBUG_LOG-to-log-errors

Could you please also share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Cheers!
