WooCommerce & still 404

If I add a new product category, the category page doesn’t work. It shows 404
The link structure is:
https://www.domain.com/product-category/%5Bcategoryname%5D
Why? the pre-category “product-category” is so unnecessary. Also SEO-unfriendly.
I have this permalink-setting:
common settings: postname (it doesn’t work by clicking on a category)
productpermalink base: custom -> %product_cat% (it works for products)If I change the common settings to standard, it works. But it isn’t SEO-friendly (many “?” and “=”)!
