    Hi, As of this past Saturday 2-8-2020 I am unable to take any payments. We get the following error – Error: Square was unable to complete the transaction. Please try again later or use another means of payment. –
    Also, any items we enter into Woocommerce since Friday 2-7-2020 does not sync to Square.
    I’ve contacted Square, and they are not even seeing the transaction come to them, so the problem seems to be with the plugin. At the moment, our online business is dead and unable to accept payments. Can someone please help?

    Hi there,

    An issue was introduced recently and occurs only when the address 2 line is hidden. As a temporary workaround, you can fix by making this field required in Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Checkout like so:

    This is tied to the address verification check. It’s been reported and we have this fixed as soon as possible.

    I checked the address 2 line and it was marked as “Optional”. How can it be required if a person does not have any info to put in that field? Most people don’t use the field…what would they put?

    does this also somehow affect sync or is that something else?

    I understand the workaround isn’t perfect, but as long as the fix isn’t ready, that’s pretty much the only way to make it work, except downgrading a previous version of Square.

    At the moment, I can’t tell for sure if the sync issue is connected, at first sights, it doesn’t seem to be the case.

    We are having a similar issue and i’ve enabled the address 2 and we are still getting “An error occurred, please try again or try an alternate form of payment”. This error seems to be only related to Visa cards. Also seeing “3D Secure Verification Token is missing” in logs. Just started seeing this error late yesterday.

    I am experiencing payment issues as well. Have you been able to fix it?

    @ryo0110 I reverted back to 2.0.8 and it fixed this issue. Will wait for the developers to fix whatever was wrong with version 2.1.0 before updating.

    Did you do it through manual installation or backup database? Do you remember what the date was before 2.1 was installed? Thanks for replying

    I set the Address 2 field to required and it seems to work. This is odd because we are using version 1.0.38 since 2.0 broke a key functionality that we need: syncing items with multiple attributes. We did not do any update at all but it stopped working this past weekend for no apparent reason.
    Can someone confirm that 2.1 will sync items with multiple attributes? (think Size and Color of a shirt).

    @ryo0110 see my last reply here which answers your question about how I rolled back to version 2.0.8. We installed 2.0.8 probably 2 months ago and hadn’t had issues with that version.

    *** We don’t use the “Product system of record” and sync product data to Square FYI. Never have, never will. So that might cause different issues if you do use that. I can’t help with what version worked if you were using that functionality with past versions of this plugin.
