The easiest way to download orders and import those into a new site would be by using a CSV import plugin similar to what @braehler has recommended.

I did this initially. I used a plugin to export all of the orders from the old site and imported them to the new site. Apparently, some order numbers were the same as post ids, so they were not imported. Is there any way to import them and preserve the numbers? Some customers cannot view their old orders because they weren’t imported.
