I’m working on an antiques store website. Everything works on the admin side but when I try to open it from a browser, I get a lot of spinning and flickering but nothing loads.

I am using the Catalog page as my front page with 4 columns and 10 rows with the Product Categories widget in the sidebar. Everything functions smoothly on the admin side. I’ve got about 60 products loaded in with an average of 4-5 pictures each – most have been optimized.

I consulted an online WordPress group and they suggested updates and the such but everything seems good on that front. They suggested disabling the plug-ins one by one but the problem persists. They then suggested a theme incompatibility. I was using Astra, but I’ve now tried Storefront , Woostify, 2022, 2023 and OceanWP – all with the same spinning result. The only one that that didn’t was 2024 but all my products and all the other things I’ve put on the site were missing.

I am using Windows and Firefox but I’ve also tried Edge – same result.

    Any suggestions?

  • Hey there ??

    Thanks for reaching out!

It seems your site is not loading as expecting, and you are experiencing flickering and spinning, and nothing loads. Correct?

I’ve gone to your site and I see what you mean. On my end, its as if the site just keeps refreshing so I am not even able to view the site and check the console.

Can you try using a plugin like Autoptimize and see if this makes any difference. Try minifying and combining all the script files:

Please test it using another browser where you are not logged-in as admin, or alternatively test in incognito/private mode. When you are logged-in as Admin, Autoptimize minification is not active.

If that makes no difference, I’m very interested in the server-side errors. Can you please check for any server-side errors and share those with us here.

Also, would you mind sharing the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

    Cheers!

This last message came into my junk file and the previous one which I’ve just seen now seems to have disappeared completely.

So the problem still persists and I will now work through Roxy’s reply.

    Hello ,

I’m sorry to hear about the issues with the mails getting marked as spam. I hope you were able to mark the emails as ‘not spam’ to avoid having them automatically land in your junk folder.

So the problem still persists and I will now work through Roxy’s reply.

This sounds like a plan, please let us know how it goes.
