• Hi guys. I have searched high and low for an answer to this question.
Looked on the forums and Google for a solution, for at least a week now. Have attempted many “fixes” and workarounds that well, didn’t work.

The issue is the WooCommerce sidebar. I use it for widgets, i.e. my category filter.
However, on the responsive version, the sidebar defaults to the bottom of the page – below the content. I want it above the content. For example, I have filters to pick a type of clothing in the sidebar. It does not make sense for this to be BELOW the content (The clothing choices, in this case).

I thought there would be a way to do this in one of the theme files. Have tried it in CSS and PHP files. But it may differ from theme to theme? I haven’t had any luck…

Hope someone can point me in the right direction. This is such a headache and seems like it shouldn’t be this difficult. ??

It will differ from theme to theme. You should check with the theme developer for the best way to do it for your theme. If you post a link though, it might turn out to be possible with some simple CSS, but I can’t say what that would be without seeing the markup of the page.

@jakept, Thank you for your reply. I am so sorry for delayed response, I didn’t get notification in email though I subscribed to thread.

I checked with the theme developer, this is the reply:

“The problem with having the sidebar appear above the rest of the content is that it would also appear before the breadcrumbs and page titles.
If I understand correctly about what you’re after then something similar to the “Default Sorting” dropdown except with the product categories in it would be what you’re after?
Unfortunately we don’t have any plugins available that can do this however I’m sure a plugin that does this must exist. I’ll take a look and see if I can find one.”

No word back. I feel that there must be a way to do this without moving it above the content. I am willing to purchase a premium solution, but no luck.

The website is: https://www.clotheseek.com *Please take note the products are in Infinite Scrolling mode, so on mobile you will not likely see the sidebar content on bottom of page, that is visible on larger devices (the sidebar containing the filters I would like above the products)
