Woocommerce shortcodes

Good day to ya’ll.

I’m having trouble with woocommerce shortcodes;

My home-page shows different category’s. By clicking on a category you are redirected to the category page that is automatically created by Woocommerce. To customize these category-pages (add some general information with pictures) I created a new page and added the products of the category with a shortcode;

[product_category category=”jeans” per_page=”12″ columns=”4″ orderby=”date” order=”desc”]

How can I assign the “new” category page to the thumbnails on the front-page? Because now you are still redirected to the “old” category page.

Been busy with this for a few days now, the solution is probably very simple. Could someone give me a hand with this?
