    Thanks for confirming that you have no SEO plugin installed, and the settings are set to allow indexing.

    Since every site is different, may I know if you have tested on your site whether the same happens with all plugins disabled except for WooCommerce, and the theme changed to Storefront?

    thanks for the reply.

    i tested this already and deactivated all plugins exept woocommerce. but i does not help. the shop page still shows: <meta name=”robots” content=”noindex, nofollow” />

    all other shop pages have the same behavior, except the product detail pages. those ones are set to: <meta name=”robots” content=”index, follow” />

    So we can have a better understanding of your setup, can you please share your System status report? You can find it in WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support and then paste it here.

    Can you disable all plugins, switch to the Storefront theme then have your host clear your site cache then enable WooCommerce?

    I can see that your <head> element is coming from something named Dynamic Avia, which seems to be a feature of your Enfold theme.

    I’d recommend changing your theme to the Storefront theme as mentioned above and purging all your caching files.

    After purging them all, you may need to reach out to your hosting company to double-check if they are using some kind of caching system on their side too.

    If it doesn’t work, I’d recommend setting up a staging site.

    If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

    And then, using the Storefront theme with only WooCommerce enabled, share with us a new System Status report (make sure the site is public, so we can access it too).

    thanks a lot for the input. i reached out to the supplier of the theme, and he was able to give me the needed info.

    i need to add a filter in the functions.php file which then properly sets the meta robots tag on product pages.

    in detail:
