    Search Console url inspection result:

Indexing allowed? No: ‘noindex’ detected in ‘robots’ meta tag

However everything is set to allow search engines index the page.
In wordpress reading settings I have allowed indexing.
I’m using “all in one seo plugin”, but when I go to the advanced settings I can see it is set to allow indexing too.

    What could be the problem?
Or is it possible to change the robots instruction for only one page?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @izrodskiuser ??

Thanks for sharing this with us. I can confirm that SEO information like this is NOT controlled by WooCommerce in any way, and is likely controlled by a plugin on your site (since you mention the WP Reading Settings aren’t set to discourage search engines).

I don’t see anything in your robots.txt file but I can see that this specific page is getting noindex applied to it: https://d.pr/i/WqGfeK

To find the root cause of the problem, you can follow the recommendations made here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

If that does not help, it would be best to reach out to the authors of your SEO plugin for further assistance ??

    Hi,

I still have the problem and I did the following tests:

After creating the staging site with wp staging:

    1. I switched the theme to a default one but the noindex robots meta was still there – so problem does not come from the theme

    2. I switched back to my theme and deactivated all plugins except from woocommerce – and the noindex is still there. So that means no other plugin is causing the problem.

So that means the woocommerce plugin is causing this noindex in the shop page.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi @izrodskiuser,

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe and see no addition of noindex being added to the Shop page by the free WooCommerce plugin itself.

Below is one of the test sites I used.

So that means the woocommerce plugin is causing this noindex in the shop page.

The results of my testing across several different WooCommerce installations would indicate something other than the free WooCommerce plugin is adding the noindex to your WordPress installation.

After some investigating on my test installations I found that the WordPress core software would add a noindex if this setting below has been previously enabled by a site administrator. You can find this setting located at WordPress Admin > Settings > Reading.

    I hope this helps.
