Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: header
Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: footer

    Menu also removed.

    https://www.nameonricecharms.com/shop/

This is specifically caused by wordpress update 5.9.1
If I revert back to wordpress 5.8.3 the problem goes away

    2 things:
it makes the background cover the whole page (no overlay) and then it shows those error messages top and bottom and removes the menu on desktop and mobile
Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: header
Template part has been deleted or is unavailable: footer

Now it looks like it only affects the Woocommerce shop pages (and a few blog pages) but woocommerce is most concerning because it generates revenue for a lot of small businesses.

It doesn’t affect the main page

Can you roll out a fix to make it compatible? I keep reverting back to the old to make it work but WordPress forces update back to the current version

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @trucm!

It looks like the cause of this could be a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.

To be sure, please perform a conflict test by temporarily switching your theme back to Storefront, disabling all plugins except WooCommerce, updating WordPress, and then check again if the issue persists. If that solves it, then re-enable all plugins one-by-one, until you find the one creating the conflict.

If you cannot perform a conflict test on your live site, we recommend creating a staging site using the WP Staging plugin.

You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/.

Let us know how that goes for you!

So I’ve tried everything including using the new 2022 theme before I posted so I was able to narrow down that it is the 5.9 update and woocommerce specific.

When I reverted to the 2022 wordpress theme the error message disappears however it doesn’t solve the problem of not having mobile menu scroll with page etc.

Everything works fine with the older 5.8.3 version so it’s likely something in the new update that didn’t work. I see more of these postings from other people as well and everyone uses different themes.

    Hi @trucm

Would you please take a full conflict test? After disabling all your Plugins except for WooCommerce, change your theme to Storefront theme, instead of twenty twenty two.

Then, if the problem persists, can you share with us your System Status report, please?

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Feel free to activate all your plugins after grabbing your System Report and sharing it with us!

    My very best,

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.
