I am having serious problems with my woocommerce shop.?In my shop I have variable products. When a customer selects an option and tries to add it to their cart, they get the following alert: “Please select some product options before adding this product to your cart.”

When I deactivate the SiteGround Optimizer plugin woocommerce works. Is there a way to make it work with woocommerce.

    Please help!!

    Jessica

    Hello @jmpl123,

This could be caused by one of the Javascript features in the Frontend optimization. You can try turning off Combine JavaScript Files and/or Defer Render-blocking JavaScript.

You can do this through the Admin page >> SG Optimizer -> Frontend -> JavaScript -> Defer Render-blocking JavaScript / Combine JavaScript Files

    Hi Pavel,

I already had Combine JavaScript Files turned off and when I also turned off Defer Render-blocking JavaScript, it worked. It looks like the error is gone.

Will my site be slower now with Defer Render-blocking JavaScript turned off?

    Hi @jmpl123,

Generally, yes. The site could load slower initially as the render-blocking scripts are not deferred. However, if your site does not load such scripts, the loading speed will not be affected.
