WooCommerce – Sensei – WooEverything…
-
Here’s the scoop… I teach courses in real time but would like to supplement the material with online content. Additionally, I would like to offer my online content to people who cannot take my courses in real life.
So, when a person registers for a real life course, I would like to grant them access to a portion of the online video instruction so they can watch and prepare for the day they take their course in real time. After they finish their course in real time, I would like to give them access to the remainder of the course which is video content to support what they were taught in real time for a period of 2 months. After the 2 months time is over they will be provided with the means to subscribe to the site to maintain access to the video content and other bells and whistles. The same process would be followed for additional courses but their one subscription will give them access to all of the course wear for the courses they have taken.
I’m working with WooCommerce, Memberships, Sensei and Content Drip. Will be adding subscriptions later once I get the initial processes ironed out. Haven’t been able to get it working so far. I’m currently trying to use variable products which work great. The problem I’m running into is passing the variable course date to the course so I can provide immediate access to the initial content and have everything else open up once the course date has arrived.
I’m getting to the point where I think I may have to just split the course so that they have full access to the initial stuff upon purchase then grant them subscription access with a 2 month trial once the course has completed.
Any other ideas from anyone out there?
Thanks in advance!
