    Hi All,

I have a problem with my search bar when a customer searches for a product let’s say Ham or Bacon individual product results are not displayed only pages and posts.

Is there way of adding a setting so that products are displayed individually if they exist?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello there,
That’s what should happen by default.

This kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:
    ?

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Hi Nicola,

Thanks for your advice. I switched off all plugins except Woocommerce (changed theme to Store Front and also tried Twenty Sixteen) all I see is a fatal PHP error.

All of my plugins are up to date inc WP, tried turning off plugins except Woocommerce but the search results yield the same problem – posts and pages.
I am not impressed with DIVI they make it ridiculously difficult to make alterations, it is great for front end work but this type of problem should be easy to fix. The only other solution is for me to create a searchform.php with custom code but that is a pain in the back side.

Well I’ve tried everything. I rolled back my Divi theme, turned off all plugins bar Woocommerce, recreated product-searchform.php, checked my errors logs and I still cannot find the problem. The Divi Search Module only displays posts and pages, incredibly frustrating. I also reviewed my functions.php file to make sure there was nothing untoward going on. I give up!

Can you please send a link to your website where I can see the search form?

    Hi there,

    Sure it’s https://delicioso.co.uk/

I’ve changed the Divi Search Bar and replaced with Advanced Woo Commerce Search widget, if you type say ‘Ham’ and scroll down to ‘View All Results’ and click no results are displayed.

    Thanks for having a look.
    Rgds.

    Hello @maccready,

I took a look at your site and do see that the search results aren’t appearing. The URL for the search results doesn’t look off:

    https://delicioso.co.uk/?s=ham&post_type=product&type_aws=true

I tried the same on my test site, just replacing “ham” with “hoodie” and it worked. It could be the search results page in the theme needs some adjustments so it displays products correctly. You could switch to Twenty Nineteen temporarily and visit the search URL above and see if it shows products. If so then you might reach out to Elegant Themes for help in getting those results inside of Divi for you.

I had a copy of Divi and tested there, but it did show results for me.

    results

If I can help out, let me know.
