I only want to use this plugin to search for products, I do not need to search through archives, pages, etc.

After press Enter, you should land on the WooCommerce search results page which is “post type archive”. The URL should be:

https://your-domain.com/?s=keyword&post-type=product

Maybe there is something wrong with your theme or page builder. If you use e.g. Elementor Pro, take a look at this guide – https://ajaxsearch.pro/docs/common-errors/the-search-results-page-created-in-elementor-doesnt-display-products/
