WooCommerce Sample Reduces Product Inventory

Really I didn’t check this plugin with the inventory option active.
I think this enhancement is not really difficult, difficult is found free time to do that.
I added this issue, I’ll hope to fix it in a week or two.

I’m working to solve this issue.
Well, I found a simple trick to allow sample product to be excluded from inventory managing.
But it not work if the product is not available.
If product is not available also adding sample on cart is not available, but if the real product is in stock is possible add a sample without decreasing stock availability.
I hope to be able publish a new version of sample plugin as soon as possible.

I wonder if solving this issue would also solve the fact that samples appear as parent products in reports… It would be great if it appeared as ‘sample’ instead, but I know that that might be hard to do and it’s a ‘nice to have’ rather than a ‘need to have’.

Hi, Michele. Glad you were able to find the problem. Any news on when an update with a solution might be out? We’re only getting about 30 or 40 sample orders a day right now, so manually readjusting inventory isn’t too bad. When we hit our busy season in November and start getting several hundred a day, it’s going to be almost impossible.

Michele, where do you stand on the update? This is now really affecting inventory management and my client is losing sales because his site is showing “Out of stock” when he has lots of item inventory. He is having to spend a couple of hours each day just trying to fix inventory problems this plugin is creating.
