WooCommerce Review Comments

  • Hi,

    I want to allow review comments for my products, but my industry is unique and I need to first verify they actually purchased the product being reviewed which I can do with their email address. Is there a way for me to customize the review comment section so that it prompts the user to enter their email address and so that the review comment is not posted until I ‘ok’ it?

  • You’ll need a new comment/discussion solution to be able customize. I’d recommend to use WooDiscuz instead of default review Tab. It’s a professional discussion board integrated as a new Tab under WooCommerce Product Page

    This is built in functionality in WooCommerce!
    Go to Settings > Products and then check the box after Only allow reviews from “verified owners”

    Ewout, I attempted your solution and within the review tab the following statement is now reflected:

    “Only logged in customers who have purchased this product may leave a review.”

    People may have purchased these products from different website. I want the user to be prompted to input their email along with the review and inform them that I will confirm they actually had purchased the product with the company they are reviewing. I’ll inform them to submit the same email which was utilized with their original purchase and once I have confirmed their purchase, I will release the review comment.

    With that being said, is there a way to do this?
