Woocommerce RestAPI plugin 2.6.8 attributes based Filter pa_* not working

I am using legacy v3 restAPI to list products from the website to my app in iOS(swift) I could be able to list the products with the help of this link https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/v3.html#view-list-of-products but I could not filter based on pa_* by filter[pa_color]=black. I even tried to list and filter products using newer https://woocommerce.github.io/woocommerce-rest-api-docs/#list-all-products and used attribute=pa_color but I am not able to filter only the color attribute..So please help how to filter based on attributes?
