    Hello dfrancis,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand you are facing an issue with the WooCommerce reports not displaying any information after you’ve rolled back from version 8.5 to 8.4.

First and foremost, I recommend upgrading to WooCommerce version 8.5.1, which is the latest version, to ensure that any fixes and improvements made since version 8.4 are applied to your installation. This may resolve the issue you are having with the reports.

Additionally, could you please provide screenshots of the issue you are experiencing? Screenshots will help us better understand what you’re seeing on your end and can be critical in diagnosing the problem more precisely.

To facilitate further investigation into the root cause of this issue, please supply me with a copy of your site’s System Status Report, which offers comprehensive insights into your site’s environment.

Here is how to get the System Status Report:
    1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard.
    2. Navigate to WooCommerce > Status.
    3. Select ‘Get system report.’
    4. Click on ‘Copy for support.’

Once you have the report, please paste the text into a new Gist at https://gist.github.com. Then share the Gist link here in your reply.

Having both the screenshots and the System Status Report will enable us to take the next steps in supporting you.

I look forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hello dfrancis

    Thank you for your reply.

After reviewing the SSR I found that the WooCommerce is still at version 8.4.0. I also noted that the WooCommerce Database version is at 8.5.0.

This could be the reason for the issue you are facing.
Therefore, I will recommend updating WooComemrce to 8.5.1 which will also trigger a WooCommerce Database update to 8.5.1

Please follow these steps and let me know if the issue persists.
I will recommend placing a new test order after the update and verifying the reports.

Kindly share a fresh SSR with me after the update.
I will make sure everything is in order.

Looking forward to your response ??

    Hey, @dfrancis!

Thanks for the information and the new report.

Can you please run a conflict test to see if another plugin is causing the issue?

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

    — Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

    — Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    — It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

You can find more about this in this guide.

Please let us know about your findings.

    Have a wonderful day!

this is not acceptable. we count on you, this hast cost us thousands of dollars per day. I have reverted to 8.4 and sales are flowing in

there is no way I should have to start over after 5 plus years of steady growth, this update has caused more issues, time delays and lost business. I have lost faith in auto updates. there are no error logs. no way to understand what this update is doing to cause lost sales as it allows people to check out and sales have come in but a fraction of what typically comes in. Once you revert to 8.4 they come in steady. Its got to be the tracking of where sales come from, Source that is causing this as it also increases google spend when 8.5.1 is activated.

    Hello dfrancis,

Thank you for your reply and for updating us on the situation with your WooCommerce store.

We’re glad to hear that reverting to WooCommerce 8.4 has allowed sales to resume on your site. Your online business must run smoothly and efficiently, and we understand the impact that any downtime can have on your revenue.

Given that your site utilizes several third-party extensions that depend on WooCommerce, compatibility between these plugins and WooCommerce core updates is crucial. If any of these plugins have not yet been upgraded to support the latest version of WooCommerce, continuing with version 8.4 may be the best course of action for the time being.

Before updating to a newer version of WooCommerce in the future, we recommend verifying that all third-party plugins are fully compatible with the latest update. This often involves checking the plugin developers’ documentation or reaching out to them directly for confirmation.

Please rest assured that the stability of your e-commerce operations is a priority, and we’re here to assist with any further issues or queries you may have. ??

    Best regards.
