• Hi.

I’ve been searching (and searching!) for an answer to this. No luck.

We are using version 2.4.6 of WooCommerce.

    Here’s the issue:

    • Customer places order
    • Company is out of stock of one item, so refunds it back (via stripe gateway). All looks good from the admin side — tax and order total are correct.
    • However, the “public” view of the order does not get updated to show that the item has been refunded. That is to say, the refunded item still shows up on when the customer looks at their order on their “My Account” page. It also still shows up in shipping managers and thus packing lists — we’ve tried Shipping Easy and Ship Station. It’s also in customer order emails.

I opened a help ticket in Woo Commerce complete with screenshots — but they are saying this is “as designed”. How can this be? In what world do we still want to show customers an item on their order that has been refunded?? I’ve seen where other people have run into this problem but I haven’t seen a resolution yet.

Thanks for any help or any references on fixing this. Thanks!

Wanted to add — in the admin side, there’s a second line in RED under the item with “-1 (or the number returned) and -$ amount”. Having something like this on the My Account page and in emails would be great!

As far as packing slips and shipping managers, it’s probably best to just not even send the refunded items as part of the order. We’ve been removing the refunded items from the order manually in Shipping Easy, but we can’t show the order total in emails or on the packing slip because it’s wrong and there’s no way to fix it. However, we need to have the order total on the packing slip for customs.

Thanks again for any and all help.
