    Hello, I write because sometimes woocomerce reduces the stock twice maybe it’s due when the user changes the payment method or there is a paypal bug. Do you know any function to be implemented to add to functions.php that can solve this problem? thanks.

    Can you share some more details on this issue? I would like to know the exact PayPal payment gateway you are using here, or other gateways you have. Also, if you look at the order under WooCommerce > Orders and select an order, does it show being processed two times?

    Also, are you using any stock management plugins? If so try to disable it and then run a test order to see if reduces the stock. Let us know the answers to the above questions and the results of a test order if you run one ??

    Try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce to see if this resolves the issue. If so, then re-enable each one at a time until you find the one that’s causing the conflict.

    we have the same Problem. It was an Variation Product and was payed with Paypal, the Paypal Plugin which is in Woocommerce integrated.
    First, the stock of variation was reduced from 2 to 1. Immediately from 1 to 0. I just noticed because I received the email for low stock and behind the same email for product not in stock. That made me wonder. Unfortunately, my co-worker does not pay attention to the order notes.

    Unfortunately, I can not turn off the system because it is active and would confuse my customers.
    But it is apparently not an isolated problem.

    The note “Status of order from payment pending changed in progress.” is also available twice.

    All annotations listed below:
    – IPN payment completed
    – PDT payment completed
    – Status of the order from Payment pending to In process changed.
    – Status of the order from Payment pending to In process changed.

    tinokla try to disable PDT payment maybe it’s just your problem because the pdt initially caused me the conflict with IPN payment.

    @gnrcmp9 is spot on.

    You should only use IPN or PDT, never both. This is why there are two notifications of a complete payment and why PayPal is reducing stock twice.
