Woocommerce product variations/attributes don’t always display in cart

Running WordPress 5.1 and WooCommerce 3.5.5. I’ve already reverted to the Storefront theme and disabled all plugins except for Woocommerce.
My products have 2 attributes, used as variations and they are setup correctly. On the product page, I select the size and color, but in the shopping cart and in the checkout page it only shows the size. This is not always consistent however, and sometimes the color is shown.
In either case, I confirmed the size and color are saved in the back-end, so this is a front-end issue.
Any thoughts?

I think what’s happening here is that if the product has more than 3 attributes OR the attributes are 2 or more words, then it’ll be displayed as it did in v2.6 (see: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/includes/data-stores/class-wc-product-variation-data-store-cpt.php#L209)
You can use the following code to resolve this:
add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_variation_title_include_attributes', '__return_false' ); add_filter( 'woocommerce_is_attribute_in_product_name', '__return_false' );.. but you’d still need to re-save the price/s on your variation/s, as it is needed to re-sync with the database.
