Woocommerce product import duplicates subcategories
-
I’m trying to import products into Woocommerce with subcategories.
There are products for which the subcategory name is the same as an other subcategory of another parent category. For the demo subset below the importer correctly creates only one “Kits” subcategory for “Lenzen”. However, for the “Licht” category, it seems to create a new “Kits” subcategory for each item.
Categories Name Lenzen > Kits Sony GM-Zoom Lenzenset Licht > Kits Arri pakket led Licht > Kits Fomex Led pakket Lenzen > Kits Canon EF Zoom Lenzenset (L-serie) Licht > Kits TheLight Velvet-1 Led Pakket Licht > Kits TheLight Velvet Mini Led Pakket Licht > Kits TheLight Velvet 1 + 2 Led Pakket Lenzen > Kits Sigma ART Lenzenset Licht > Kits 3x Dedolight 3 bicolor pakket Licht > Kits 3x Dedolight 7 bicolor pakket Licht > Kits Dedolight bicolor combipakket A Licht > Kits Dedolight bicolor combipakket B Lenzen > Kits Canon RF Zoom Lenzenset Licht > Kits Akurat LED set Licht > Kits 3x Dedolight 4 bicolor pakket Lenzen > Kits Canon RF Prime Lenzenset Licht > Kits 3-point light kit - low power Licht > Kits 3-point light kit - high power
Any ideas on how to resolve this?
Also, what’s even weirder, when importing the 13 items in the “Licht > Kits” category, the importer creates 91 times the “kits” subcategory. That’s 7 times more subcategories than items being imported…
