Woocommerce Product Image too large

  • Hi,
    I have downloaded “woocommerce” plugin along with “WooCommerce Zoom Magnifier” for “Mayashop Theme”. Now i have added a product. The main Product Image on the product page is way too large, its nearly the size of Magnified image (arround approx. height:800px and width:400px).Here is link to the only product i have added so far as a test:

    How do i fix it? Before i was using jigoshop and it was fine with it. The product size then, was arround width:350 height:500.

  • I think the size is that intended by the theme designer. Try increasing the Medium size image size in Admin page / Media.

    Consider using a page template with a sidebar. This should reduce the size of the product elements.

    I have tried using side bar on product page for reducing the size of product image but it didn’t worked. I don’t understand if woocommerce default size for product image is this large why have they created Woocommerce zoom magnifier? i don’t think there is a need of magnifier when default image size is this large.

    WooCommerce doesn’t set the image size, it is set by the theme.

    So the default image size will vary from theme to theme and whether or not a side bar is used. So sometimes the magnifier would be a good idea, and sometimes not so.

    If you don’t need a big images to make the sale, or if you don’t have them, then you don’t want the magnifier.

    In your case, the magnifier is showing the image at its true size, ie small, so its no good. If you can get some good quality images that are larger than the display size then it would worthwhile.
