    Hi,

    I have a rather irritating bug so it seems, we’ve just added a new product to our website under a specific category, for some reason it is the first product that is displayed whilst the rest are displayed alphabetically from A-Z in this case the offending product begins with ‘J’. Why isn’t this product falling in to line as per the rest of our products?

    Thank you in advance! ??

    Hi there,

    Out of the box, WooCommerce doesn’t have a function to sort alphabetically and I suspect that might be powered by a custom function or plugin on your site. For what it’s worth, here’s the default sorting options available in WooCommerce:

    With that said, there could be a few things at play here and I’d recommend the following:

    • If you are indeed using another sorting plugin/function, you’ll want to get in touch with the developers of that for more support;
    • Make sure that the product lookup tables (introduced in WooCommerce 3.6) have been regenerated under WooCommerce > System Status > Tools

    Hello,

    Thanks for replying.

    Our customers are not able to select viewing options from a drop down list this is purely front end product display. I’ve managed to tweak a new function which displays all of our products in alphabetical order. If anybody wants me to post the code here let me know.

    Cheers.

    Hmmm, it sounds like the custom coding you’re using isn’t taking into account new products being added. While this forum is only really geared towards providing support for core tenets of the WooCommerce plugin, it might be worth double-checking your code or possibly even running a conflict test to make sure the core components are working as expected.

    That said, without access to your site or the system status report, troubleshooting this is a tad difficult as we’re only addressing how things should work in theory ??
