Woocommerce product category not represented in single product page breadcrumbs

    Hi

    I am looking to add the product category to the breadcrumbs on single product pages.

    Currently the breadcrumbs read HOME-SHOP-PRODUCT and I would like them to read HOME-SHOP-PRIMARY CATEGORY-PRODUCT.

    I have enabled category next to the products setting of the Taxonomy to show in breadcrumbs for content types part of the backend of Yoast but this makes no difference

    Can someone please advise regarding this query? It has been four weeks

    Hi @georgiedavies

    We do know that you can set the breadcrumb pathway to (home > shop page > primary category > product) if you add the ‘category’ as the taxonomy to show in the product content type for the breadcrumbs (Search Appearance > Breadcrumbs tab).

    However, please note that the reason why you might not be seeing that change is that you’re still using the WooCommerce breadcrumbs and not the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs (for products).

    You’ll need the Yoast WooCommerce SEO add-on plugin if you want to replace the default WooCommerce breadcrumbs with the Yoast SEO breadcrumbs.

    Hi, thanks for checking this. I managed to get it sorted with some custom code from my theme developer
