• Hi there,

I’m using your plugin to insert widgets “Filter product by attributes” and adapt the visibility settings based on product categories. It works fine except for parent / child categories.

Let say we have this hierarchy:

    – Parent product cat
    — Child product cat 1
    — Child product cat 2

If I’d like to show the widget only on child product cat 1 and 2, I can’t because adding only these categories also include the parent one.

    Is that clear for you?

  • Hello @maigret

    Hope all is well!

I can’t reproduce the issue on my end. When only a child category is selected in the widget’s visibility the widget shown only on the product pages form this category and not on a product page from a parent category.

Please make sure that the visibility is set as it is shown in the example bellow and only child categories are included:

Please make sure that there is no conflict with another plugin or a theme. Deactivate all other plugins, switch to a default WordPress theme and test if the widget is showing on parent category page. If it is not, activate one plugin at a time to find the one that causes this.

If the issue still persists, after running a test for a conflict, please export teh Sidebars and upload it to DropBox or Google Drive and share the link here so we could see the settings up close.

    Kind regards,
    Nastia

Hi, thanks for testing on your side!

I can’t really make new test on the live production website. Anyway, if it’s ok for you, I’ll make deeper tests next time if my client is not ok.
