Woocommerce product catalog sorting

If you want to change the default product sorting you could use hooks or assign a lower value to the menu order. These are good tutorials that may show you the correct path to follow.

Is there a way to combine those options. Because when I use the filter you mentioned it did sort the default via popularity, but then it didn‘t regard the given menu order number anymore, so essentially it‘s just the same list as when you select ?popularity“.

I think you realized there is no way to do this out of the box with the default WooCommerce functions aside from manual sorting via the menu order. It’s requested customization if you want to do it programmatically and it falls outside our scope of support.

It requires knowledge of PHP though and to learn more about the default ‘orderby’ options please see the WordPress Codex Class Reference.
