    Hi, i am looking for some help,
    on my website, i am selling rings, the problem i have is that each ring has many attributes, ie
    Ring size: C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, Z
    Ring Width: 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm
    Ring weight: Light, medium, heavy
    Ring Metal: yellow, rose, white

    If i use variations for each of these settings, its going to take me forever.
    Is there a ways i can group a range of attributes ie

    ring sizes from C to G in 2mm width, light weight and yellow

    and the same with..

    ring sizes from H to L in 2mm width, light weight and yellow.
    as this would same me so much time.

  • If you need to have different prices or track inventory on different options then the default variations all need to be set.

    If a variation doesn’t change the price then you can use ‘Any’ – for example, I have a T-Shirt that comes in 10 sizes and 52 colours (520 variations) but I just have it set to Any Size – Any Colour (1 variation)

    You could use a spreadsheet and import the variations for each ring – are the options the same for each product? If so, it would be easy to create a product then export it to see the CSV file layout you’d need.

    You could also use the same spreadsheets to change prices etc if you ever need to.

    Another alternative would be to use a bulk editing plugin – I use this: https://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-advanced-bulk-edit/8011417 – essentially it lets you view your product data in a spreadsheet-like grid for really quick and easy editing.

    To give you an idea of just how big a nightmare this is,, gold prices change almost hourly, but i will be checking only daily. each ring with all different attributes will have to be set as the weight of the ring in gold is different.

    (screams in terror)

    A spreadsheet is probably the way to go then – once you have each ring set up you will be able to set up a formula for the prices based on weight and current gold price and upload that each time you need to change it!
