    Hello

I am currently in the middle of building up a website in order to get some experience in building e-commerce stores. The easiest way to get products on the site was through a dropshipper, so I downloaded the official plugin from the supplier and imported products to the site using the plugin.

The plugin imports every single product as a simple product, regardless of the product having many different variables. I tried creating attributes and variables for these products, but then it tells me that I have a duplicate or invalid SKU. The developers of the plugin tell me it is not possible to create variable products at the current moment. They also tell me that I shouldn’t install a plugin to circumvent this issue, as that might cause problems.

I am writing this post as a last resort to ask, does this mean there is no way to create variable products for my site? Would hiring a developer make a difference, or is the only way to simply wait for the plugin developers to implement the feature?

    Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there!

The developers of the plugin tell me it is not possible to create variable products at the current moment.

So sorry to hear that. As an alternative, you can upload products in bulk using the built-in product CSV Importer and Exporter. For more information please this article.

Of course, you will need some type of help to create the file, add the products, variations, etc.

Since this is a dropshipping business model you can also look for a lister, there are some out there that permit to create multi variations listings onto WooCoomerce.

    Thanks.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.
