• I am running Woocommerce 3.03. After I upgraded it tells me I have to update my database. I do that. I check the system status and the db version is 3.03. All is well. After a number of days(no time frame that I can tell yet), I see the request to update my database again. I check under system status and the DB version is now 2.6.4. I update again, and all is well again. Then after a few days it happens again. This started happening when I updated to version 3.00. I never had the issue before. I have started checking the db version every day and it has been staying 3.03, until all of a sudden it is back to 2.6.4 and I have to update again. What is going on?

    Thanks.

    Corrected info.

I have woocommerce version 3.04, although this started happening with version 3.00.

And the DB version it reverts back to is 2.6.1.

It just reverted back again. It only took 4 hours this time. What can I look for?

I may have a clue. Another thread from 8 months ago found (after a lot of trial and error) that a dev site of his was somehow writing the Db version to his live site. I had an old dev site on plesk that I abandoned. I looked at that db version and lo and behold it was 2.6.1. Is it possible that this old Dev site was somehow writing to my live site? I got rid of any wp files from that old dev site. I will monitor to see if it fails now.

Yes. That was my problem. I had a dev site pointing to the same database. Live and learn. Surprising that the only ‘bad’ thing that happens is the DB version. At least the only visible bad thing.
