I’m having issues getting the right checkout flow on my site.

If users have a Paypal account they shouldn’t have to put in Billing and Shipping details, right?

But the checkout page on my theme shows those fields anyway, and it won’t let me advance to the Paypal checkout window without filling those in. I tried disabling the fields and not showing them, but Paypal still asks for an address before proceeding.

Since my website doesn’t have an account system, I’d like to make checkout as seamless as possible. If you have Paypal you can use Paypal account to pay, and if you don’t you can just input a Debit or Credit card as a guest on Paypal itself. How do I accomplish this functionality?

    Hi there @fugadrip,

I tried disabling the fields and not showing them, but Paypal still asks for an address before proceeding.

It’s not possible to remove the billing fields in either WooCommerce or PayPal.

PayPal Checkout is designed to bypass the normal WooCommerce checkout page as a quick checkout method, which is why it has its own set of billing fields. These fields are hosted by PayPal and not able to be modified.

We normally recommend not using PayPal Checkout on the WooCommerce Checkout page, for this specific reason. It’s designed for product pages and the cart page.

If you have Paypal you can use Paypal account to pay, and if you don’t you can just input a Debit or Credit card as a guest on Paypal itself.

This is possible by clicking the “PayPal” button at checkout; customers will be redirected to PayPal, where they can either log into an existing account or check out as a guest with a credit card.

You might be interested in the newest PayPal extension, which offers credit card processing directly on the site.
