Woocommerce Payment Gateway

I have a question regarding adding a members payment to the subscription plugin we have.

When adding the member and wanted to know does the gateway we have set up “Braintree” automatically set the payment option to pull the next payment that is due to automatically pay to keep the member active, or does the member have to resubmit the credit card info or PayPal when the next billing is due? We don’t have that payment info on file seeing PayPal doesn’t show this? Hope this makes sense?

We added the member manually and will have to do so for the rest of them.
