Woocommerce Order Status

I’m having a small but frustrating issue. I have set woocomerce to have each new order that comes in to be marked as “pending payment” however there is no email being sent to the admin nor the customer, like what happens when the order status is set to “processing”. I’m needing to have that same email sent out to the admin as well as the customer when a new order comes in that is marked as “pending payment”. Any help is greatly appreciated.
