    Dear community,

For the past few days I’ve been seeing an increase in “order spam”. Random customers are placing orders using Woocommerce for expensive items and mostly specify Paypal as the payment option, likely in the hope that I will process the order and ship the expensive item to them without a verified payment.

The result is that I either get an automated email informing me about a new order/pre-order (when cash payment is specified or no pre-payment is required for the pre-order) or I see my orders list go up by at least 10 orders in a day.

All orders seem to originate from Australia but delivery addresses range from Iran to Zimbabwe.

How can I block this user from ever accessing my website(s) again and avoid getting all this order spam in my system?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and feedback!

    Regards,

    Stoelwinder

Correction, turns out all the attempted shipping are for this spammer:

amin ghafli, No 2 Alley 5 panj tabaghe Free Way Golestan, ahwaz, khuzestan, 6134795179, Iran

I would consider blocking IP ranges from countries known for high fraud

Thanks for the feedback! Fortunately, I was able to fix it by disabling all orders from other countries as my store currently only supplies to customers located in 2 countries.

    Thanks again for the response!
