Woocommerce on sale page

Hi, I would like to have my on sale page show the same filter options as the rest of my shop pages but when I use the plug-in “on sale page for woocommerce” it gives me the layout but doesn’t pull in the discounted products. I currently have the woocommerce on sale shortcode on this page and looking for a way that doesn’t mean creating a category for on sale and adding each item to it when I discount.
