    HI

I had a look at this app on your site,
    https://woocommerce.com/mobile/

    https://woocommerce.com/document/jetpack-setup-instructions-for-the-woocommerce-mobile-app/

My client is needing a way to add/edit products from his Ipad/Tablet easily.
We tried going into standard Google Chrome, and logging into backend of WOrdpress via domainname.com.au/wp-admin which logged in no issues.

BUT it was very laggy on the Ipad/Tablet/MObile compared to desktop versions for some reason. Desktop is working NO issues in backend of WordPress, but Ipad/Tablet is very slow which I didn’t expect.

Logging in this way is frustrating my client and myself. I have to find another solution for client to be able to add/edit products & pages via his 13″ IPAD easily. He doesn’t have another device so I have to work out a solution for him.

I have looked at this Woocommerce App link above to see if this is an option.

And it may work, but I’m not understanding how JEtpack integrates ?

And also I assume there will be a fee with Jetpack being involved (it says free version to start with… )

And can we edit standard WordPress pages in here also or Just Woocommerce products ?

Are there any known issues with this app ?
OR is it safe to use with my client site ?

or if someone has other suggestions for Ipad/Tablet/Mobile for client to ADD/EDIT products would be great.

    Thanks
    Kristin

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out!

The WooCommerce mobile app requires that the Jetpack plugin is installed on the site to open a line of communication. The app will connect to Jetpack to remotely perform actions on the site. For this you can use Jetpack Free, a subscription is not required.

And can we edit standard WordPress pages in here also or Just Woocommerce products ?

The WooCommerce app will only work with WooCommerce related functionality. To manage WordPress’s posts and pages, you can use the WordPress apps: https://apps.wordpress.com/mobile/

That app presented here is developed by the same company behind the WooCommerce plugin. It is made to be safe and reliable.

Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

    Best,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, (I think that at this point you have been able to find a solution) so I’m going to mark this as resolved – we’ll be here if and/or when you are ready to continue.

    Thanks.
